Woman-powered, sunny Americana from Boulder County
5-Foot Betty is a woman-powered, sunny Americana band that combines classic country/bluegrass sounds with a touch of jazz and witty modern songwriting. Featuring fiddle, guitar, upright bass and three-part vocal harmonies, the Betties can charm audiences of all ages.
Their Colorado-crafted sound fuses grit, humor, and heart in fan-favorite originals like “Wyoming Truck” (a city-girl meets country truck romance), “Alabama Sugar” (a soulful ballad of love and loss), the jazzy anthem “Time to Fly” and “Take Me or Leave Me” (a self-love country waltz that hits all the right notes).
Named after groundbreaking 1960s banjo player Betty Amos, 5-Foot Betty channels resilience and joy, friendship, chosen family, and the occasional donut.
The Betties have performed at the RockyGrass Band Competition, won the first-ever Denver Bluegrass Conference band competition and regularly entertains at spots where happy music lovers gather.
